Salesforce AI Specialist Certification

Salesforce AI Specialist Certification is one of the trickiest cert of the recent time that I have attempted, during Dreamforce'24, this certification was announced for free for everyone for their first attempt!

The Exam has 60 questions, pass percentage is 73% which means 44 questions need to be right to pass, Time - 90 minutes.

Exam Fee - First Attempt free till December 31, 2025, 5PM PT,  Subsequent retakes - 100$

Please ensure to go through the resources listed in the below trailmix along with the videos -

Go through the sample exam questions from the below module so you get an idea on the format-
  • Einstein Trust Layer: 15% of exam
  • Generative AI in CRM Applications: 17% of exam
  • Prompt Builder: 37% of exam
  • Einstein Copilot: 23% of exam
  • Model Builder: 8% of exam

I initially thought this to be easier exam considering that  I need to pick only one right choice among the 3 options for the questions, however realized that was not the case and this actually needed hands on experience, ensure to login to the org and create prompt templates to begin with. If you notice 20+ questions are focussed on prompt builder, so pay attention to this to clear the exam followed by copilot/agent. This needs good preparation to pass in first attempt :)

Few of the important focus areas which will help to clear are -
  • Difference between resolution vs response
  • Different prompt templates including standard and customer
  • Focus on standard actions and Action explorer, Planner service, Metadata API, Hyperparameters in model builder
  • Einstein Work Summaries/Service replies - good number of questions around capabilities
  • Ground templates with different merge fields
  • Check out the help articles for all the topics and pay attention to Related lists merge field

Summer 23 Release Highlights | Demo here - TBU

    Flows -
    • Convert Processes to Flows with the Migrate to Flow Tool, The Migrate to Flow tool supports only record-triggered processes and scheduled actions. A scheduled action is migrated as a scheduled path in a flow.
    • Flow user permissions are now all consolidated under a new Flow and Flow Orchestration section in App Permissions. Previously, they were dispersed throughout System Permissions.
    • Standard flows that contain triggers now appear in Flow Trigger Explorer.
    • Automate processes with external data by creating an HTTP callout action that calls a web-based service API, all within Flow Builder and without code. You can now edit an HTTP callout action declaratively and more easily configure the parsing of the API’s response that makes the external data usable in flows.
    General Enhancements -

    • Generally Available -When you create a field, set its field-level security on permission sets instead of profiles.
    • Delegated administrators can now manage the assignment of permission set groups for users in their delegated group, giving you more time for other admin tasks.
    • Beta feature - Users can select up to 100 records in the related list and perform mass updates instead of single record updates.
    • Salesforce deploys enhanced domains in Summer ’23. If you encounter an issue after that deployment, you can disable this feature until Salesforce enforces this update in Winter ’24
    • Salesforce enables Salesforce Edge Network on a rolling basis between Summer ’23 and Winter ’24.You can defer that enablement through a My Domain option, and you can disable Salesforce Edge Network within 7 days after the enablement has occurred.
    • Use the LoginEvent and LoginEventStream objects in Real-Time Event Monitoring to track login flows for connected apps. Use this data to monitor use of insecure flows, including the user-agent and username-password flows.
    • The related list View All page now renders using Lightning Web Components (LWC) instead of Aura. Using LWC, the full list of related records loads earlier and renders faster.
    Lightning App Builder -
    • Control field alignment across columns by using a new property on Dynamic Forms Field Section components. The Align fields horizontally property prevents fields in multicolumn Field Sections from collapsing upward when there’s a gap due to differences in field heights.
    • Previously, Dynamic Forms was available only on desktop. Now, with Dynamic Forms on Mobile (beta), your mobile users can have the same customized experience that your desktop users have.

    Service Cloud -

    • Use the individual-object linking flow template called Find Contact for Associated Case from Email-to-Case. Add it to the Actions & Recommendations component.
    •  In Summer24, Salesforce is retiring the existing email editor in the docked and case feed email composers. The Lightning editor provides an updated user interface and other new features: full-screen mode, the ability to print from the menu, undo and redo buttons, and smart copy-paste. It also complies with Salesforce security standards.
    • When agents start to type a search string, search results include email messages with matching subjects. Previously, typeahead didn’t consider email messages.
    • Show supervisors real-time metrics to help them identify and resolve issues quickly. In this continuing pilot, the wallboard includes more charts. On the Omni Supervisor tab, supervisors can select a queue of interest to filter the metrics shown.
    • Omni Supervisor shows agent capacities for interruptible and non-interruptible work.[Pilot Feature - need to work with AE]
    • Knowledge article authors and knowledge managers can publish articles in 15-minute intervals to better address the targeted nature of certain types of communications.

    Experience Cloud -

    • Knowledge article authors and knowledge managers can publish articles in 15-minute intervals to better address the targeted nature of certain types of communications.
    • With Expression Based Visibility, now generally available, you can show or hide individual components based on rules that contain a set of conditions.
    • You can add the Edit standard action and Create a Record and Update a Record quick actions to the Actions Bar. Previously, only headless Lightning web component quick actions were supported.
    • In Lightning Experience, when you create a public link to share a file, you can choose to set a date when the link expires. You can also protect access to the file with a password.
    • When a membership request finishes processing, Salesforce sends you an email notification and confirms whether processing was successful.
    • Now Salesforce emails you when you reach 95% of your portal role limit, so you have time to make adjustments before you run out of roles. When you reach your portal role limit, you can’t create more users. To increase the number of roles, enable Account Role Optimization.

    Sales Cloud -

    • GA - Without leaving the opportunity record, teams can see how multiple products and each team member fits into a sales motion. And with opportunity product splits reports, team members can track all of the opportunities they contribute to.
    • Users can use the new search field to quickly find the specific items they’re looking for in the To Do List. Users can act on the tasks that matter most, wherever those items are in the list. Previously, users could tag items and create lists, but not search.

    Spring23 Enforced Release Updates -

    Wednesday, 31 August 2022

Salesforce Enhanced Domains Spring 23 Enforcement

Enhanced domains are required for sandboxes and non-production orgs in Winter ’23 unless you enable an org-level setting that postpones their enforcement until Spring ’23.

When you enable enhanced domains, login URLs for your sites change. Your My Domain login URL changes when you enable enhanced domains in a sandbox. Enhanced domains don’t change your My Domain login URL in production unless you also change your My Domain name or suffix.

When you enable enhanced domains, all URLs across your org contain your company-specific My Domain name, including Experience Cloud sites and Salesforce sites. Also, your URLs don’t change when your org is moved to another Salesforce instance.

    Differences Between Sandbox and Production

When you enable enhanced domains, your production My Domain login URL format, MyDomainName.my.salesforce.com, doesn’t change unless you also change your My Domain name. However, enabling enhanced domains in a sandbox adds the word “sandbox” to the org’s My Domain login URL: MyDomainName--SandboxName.sandbox.my.salesforce.com.

     Potential Impact

    • Users can experience errors when attempting to access Salesforce, including but not limited to Experience Cloud sites, Salesforce Sites, and Visualforce pages.
    • Some embedded content stored in Salesforce no longer appears.
    • Third-party applications can lose access to your data.
    • Single sign-on integrations with sandboxes can fail.
    • Single sign-on integrations with orgs using the *.cloudforce.com and *.database.com domain suffixes can fail.

    • Mark a knowledge article as a favorite without worrying about the article version number or language. Knowledge article favorites redirect to the latest published version, regardless of which version was initially marked as a favorite or whether it was deleted.
    • Einstein Search for Knowledge is now generally available.

    • To quickly respond to an overflowing queue in the contact center, a supervisor can reassign agents and groups to queues in Omni Supervisor.
    • Make your supervisors’ jobs easier by adding custom actions to Omni Supervisor. Actions can call screen flows that let supervisors perform tasks such as sending a Slack message to your agents, reassigning work in a queue, or assigning an agent to a different shift.
    Flows -
    • You can now decide when to show the Toolbox for resource and element management while in auto-layout. The Toolbox is hidden by default
