Salesforce AI Specialist Certification is one of the trickiest cert of the recent time that I have attempted, during Dreamforce'24, this certification was announced for free for everyone for their first attempt!
The Exam has 60 questions, pass percentage is 73% which means 44 questions need to be right to pass, Time - 90 minutes.Exam Fee - First Attempt free till December 31, 2025, 5PM PT, Subsequent retakes - 100$

Go through the sample exam questions from the below module so you get an idea on the format-
- Einstein Trust Layer: 15% of exam
- Generative AI in CRM Applications: 17% of exam
- Prompt Builder: 37% of exam
- Einstein Copilot: 23% of exam
- Model Builder: 8% of exam
I initially thought this to be easier exam considering that I need to pick only one right choice among the 3 options for the questions, however realized that was not the case and this actually needed hands on experience, ensure to login to the org and create prompt templates to begin with. If you notice 20+ questions are focussed on prompt builder, so pay attention to this to clear the exam followed by copilot/agent. This needs good preparation to pass in first attempt :)
Few of the important focus areas which will help to clear are -
- Difference between resolution vs response
- Different prompt templates including standard and customer
- Focus on standard actions and Action explorer, Planner service, Metadata API, Hyperparameters in model builder
- Einstein Work Summaries/Service replies - good number of questions around capabilities
- Ground templates with different merge fields
